Catherine Orton is a freelance soprano and a teacher of the piano as well as voice. She has studied under the American soprano, Nancy Matthis, international soprano, Alison Pearce and English mezzo-soprano, Margaret Cable.
Her singing has taken her across England and into Italy, France and Poland. She has sung for Her Majesty the Queen and at various charity functions.
Catherine most frequently performs sacred music and recital pieces, regularly joining forces with various choral societies, orchestras and accompanists or performing solo.
Catherine also provides after dinner entertainment for parties and charity functions, music for weddings, funerals and christenings, and is involved in charity fundraising concerts whenever possible.
